Simon Lake
Learning & Development Specialist, Advisor
Simon brings almost 25 years of quality management and industry expertise to NATA Education & Advisory Services (NEAS) across a diverse range of areas including bioanalysis, toxicology and agriculture. Having occupied the roles of NATA Authorised Representative, NATA Accreditation Specialist and, in recent times, NEAS Learning & Development Specialist, he is extremely familiar with a range of international standards as well as the practicalities, realities and challenges associated with accreditation. Simon is a passionate, qualified trainer who relishes creating and delivering content that is contemporary, fun and engaging with clearly defined learning objectives. He has been a lecturer within the University of Queensland’s Biotechnology Program for almost 20 years and has worked tirelessly to ensure that students are able to seamlessly transition from a traditional academic environment into one tightly governed by a quality management system. With extensive experience within industry, education and training, he is as comfortable assisting an organisation achieve accreditation as he is training staff in a specific standard or aspect of quality management systems.

Leesa has a PhD in Virology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Science and enjoys attending training programs for professional growth, showing her commitment to continuous improvement. She is motivated to help others achieve excellence by fostering a collaborative environment for learning and growth, while achieving conformity and compliance with standards. The results-oriented approach Leesa utilises ensures each customers receives tailored solutions for confidence moving forward.

Hitesha Atre
Learning & Development Specialist, Advisor
Hitesha is a dedicated medical laboratory professional with more than 15 years of experience across pathology, tertiary education, and medical device industry. She brings deep expertise in laboratory education with a proven ability to design and deliver high-quality, learner-centred programs for diverse professional and academic audiences. Before joining NATA education and advisory services, she has held a range of roles including as field application specialist, academic teacher, education coordinator, and medical laboratory scientist. She has led training initiatives that supported operational excellence and quality assurance. She is experienced in both face-to-face and virtual learning delivery, and is known for her clear communication, structured facilitation, and approachable teaching style. With qualifications including Master of Science Management, Honours in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Diploma in Laboratory Technology, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Hitesha is committed to fostering professional capability and advancing best practice in alignment with standards. Her professional experience and educational qualifications reflect a dedication to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Lidia Calabrese

Lidia is a highly experienced learning specialist with over 20 years' experience as a trainer, instructional designer, learning solutions manager and training operations manager. She is passionate about quality and beautifully crafted learning design that engages and is effective in achieving the outcomes that participants are looking for. Her previous roles have taken her into many different industries and workplaces - her role before joining NATA Education & Advisory Services was as the CEO of a registered training organisation in the gas supply industry - and much of her valuable insight comes from having worked with diverse organisations with specialised learning needs.

Naomi Aitken is a dedicated and innovative learning and development expert who strives for excellence and leadership. She is motivated by achievement and guided by strong values, including dedication to client focus and quality. Naomi is regarded as a strong leader with integrity who walks the talk but also allows her team to feel trusted, guided and supported to reach their full potential and in turn deliver exceptional results.
