Yes. We can deliver our advisory services virtually through documentation and teams meetings but we can also come to your workplace to see your specific facility context and assist with the requirements that may need to be in-depth, highly customised to your environment or may require a visit over a longer period of time.
Yes. Our advisors are able to work with you to analyse what you need to address before NATA comes to visit. We can do a gap analysis, review documentation and/or conduct an internal audit to identify any areas you may need to provide evidence of. We can also perform cause analysis and help you develop your corrective action plan to address any NATA findings from a previous assessment.
Our advisory services include but are not limited to:
- preparing for accreditation
- strengthening quality and risk management systems
- reviewing and developing documentation
- conducting and leading internal audits and
- providing advice and support when things feel complex or unclear.

Yes. We can customise our courses to meet your organisation’s requirements including changing the course duration, learning outcomes, course content covered and contextualisation to incorporate your organisation’s policies, procedures or documentation.
Yes. We can deliver any of our standard courses at your workplace or at our venues nationally, if your organisation requires us to provide a training venue for your team’s training.
Our virtual courses are delivered using the Zoom platform and each participant needs:
- their own computer/laptop with camera and sound capability
- to have their camera on during training and microphone muted when required
- to participate in online breakout rooms during group activities
- to be able to access technologies that include online whiteboard programs (such as Canva)
- to use our online learner portal to access the course Zoom link and to download course resources.
It is highly recommended that participants have at least 2 monitors to use during virtual training to view and navigate between different learning activities and resources.
We are continuously releasing new course dates and sometimes schedule courses on demand.

Unfortunately, we do sometimes need to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances or if they did not meet our required minimum numbers.
Anyone currently enrolled on a course that we need to cancel will be notified with as much notice as possible according to our Terms & Conditions and offered alternative course dates or a full refund.
Typically, our courses do not have pre or post course work.
However, there are exceptions where these activities form an important part of the learning.
These courses have this information clearly stated on our website and may include things like the following.
- A couple of courses have an online questionnaire to complete before the course start date. These types of activities usually don’t take long to complete and are emailed with plenty of notice.
- Our longer programs sometimes have optional, in-between session activities that you are invited to complete as they help consolidate and reinforce the learning by applying it in practice.
- One of our courses has an optional post-course online theory assessment.

Our training course do not have pre-requisites.
However, sometimes a course may have a level of assumed knowledge or experience required or pre-course activities that form part of the learning.
These courses have this information clearly stated in their details on our website and may include things like the following.
- There are courses for which attendance at other NATA Education & Advisory Services training is beneficial as they provide a foundation of understanding that can be helpful during training such as:
- attending a course in your relevant Standard (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189) before our quality management or risk management courses.
- attending our ‘Art of Internal Auditing’ course before our ‘Mastering Audits’ course, or
- attending our ‘Leading Teams’ course before our ‘Managing Performance’ course.

Face-to-face courses:
A hardcopy workbook is provided on the first day of training. Further resources such as ISO Standards and case study documents are provided for use during training as required and need to be returned to the trainer at the end of the course.
Virtual courses:
Participants are provided with access to our online learner portal prior to the course start date, where they can download the course materials needed for their training. Typically, the course workbook is provided as a PDF with editable fields to type into during activities. Other non-printable PDF resources such as relevant ISO Standards and case study documents will be made available to use during learning activities as required.
If you wish to transfer a course booking the transfer must be made according to NATA Education & Advisory Services cancellation policy, in writing, and be confirmed in writing by NATA Education & Advisory Services.
You may substitute any person on a course at any time prior to the course commencement when you notify NATA Education & Advisory Services by email or phone call.
Our Terms & Conditions for Public Course Bookings (available on our website) specify our cancellation policy in detail but here are the key terms.
Written notice of course cancellation must be provided to NATA Education & Advisory Services:
- 0-2 working days prior to course commencement – incurs a 100% fee to the client
- 3-5 working days prior to course commencement incurs a 25% fee to the client.
All course fees must be paid prior to course attendance.
Training may be paid for:
- via credit card at the online checkout, or
- by requesting an invoice before completing your booking online.
Our ‘General Quality Management Systems Program’ is a 10-week virtual program, with 2.5-hour sessions each week, delivered from 12.00 pm to 2.30 pm AEST (or AEDT once daylight savings has commenced). Note: Week 1 is also slightly longer at 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm to accommodate additional content at the program start.
Our ‘Leading Teams & Managing Performance Program’ is an 8-week virtual program, with 2.5-hour sessions each week, delivered from 12.00 pm to 2.30 pm AEST (or AEDT once daylight savings has commenced).
Each of these programs has a short 10-minute break sometime around 1.00 pm.
Our standard face-to-face training courses are delivered from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm local time.
Our standard virtual training courses are delivered from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm AEST (or AEDT once daylight savings has commenced).
Course break times are typically:
- Morning tea – 15 minutes – around 10.30 am
- Lunch – 45-60 minutes, depending on the course – usually around 12.30 pm
- Afternoon tea – 15 minutes – around 2.30 pm.
- Your trainer may adapt these times as required to meet the needs of the course and group on the training day.
All course attendees receive a certificate of completion, via email, a few days after the course.
Virtual course participants can also download their certificate from the online learning portal once they receive their certificate via email.
All NATA accredited facilities receive a 15% discount on our standard public course price.
Members need to enter the code MEMBER15 at the online checkout during enrolment.
NATA Education & Advisory Services offers a 10% discount when clients book 3 or more people on the same training course.

Our public in-person courses are delivered in most capital cities across Australia. We use NATA’s training centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and we have partnerships with other training venues in convenient locations near the CBD, for all other cities.
We deliver non-accredited, short courses designed to develop knowledge and skills that are applicable to our clients’ workplaces. Our training covers three key areas:
- Standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 15189 and GLP)
- Quality
We do not deliver nationally recognised qualifications.
We have a public course calendar offering face-to-face training that is delivered nationally, as well virtual courses and programs.
We offer professional training development in the areas of standards, quality, and leadership. Moving forward, we expect to expand our learning services to include training in areas such as Office 365, Microsoft Power BI, mental health, and corporate wellness.
Importantly, we also offer advisory services for existing NATA accredited organisations and organisations looking to become accredited. These advisory services may include support in reviewing or writing quality documentation, advising on the design and implementation of quality and risk management systems, and providing resources that support our client’s requirements for management systems.
